Festival on the Moor's Youth Heritage Project

Festival on the Moor's latest Heritage Lottery Fund supported youth project has ended. Over the last 2.5 years we have worked with young people from Whitby and the Esk Valley to explore aspects of World War 1 and how it affected our local communities.

As a result of our research we have created a website dedicated to the project www.festivalonthemoorheritage.com, written songs, music and poems to create 2 major musical plays with accompanying CD's; 'Stormbound' and 'Ghosts of Heroes', and a short play about the Bombardment of Whitby.

Cd's available to purchase here. All proceeds to the Festival's education fund for future projects with young people.
